Businesses generate a great deal of data, yet for a management decision someone often still has to gather figures manually, establish what each means and check whether they can be compared with the previous period.
We first put the data sources, terminology and measurement rules in order. Then we prepare a report that shows the variance, its cause and what needs to be investigated next.

What do we establish before building a report?
A polished dashboard is only useful if the definition and source of every measure can be verified.
- Business questions and the rhythm of decisions.
- Data sources and the people responsible for them.
- KPI definitions and calculations.
- Marking poor-quality and missing data.
- Dashboard or management summary.
- Variance alerts and next actions.
One figure, one definition
We specify, for example, what counts as an enquiry, an active customer, revenue or a campaign result, which period the figure covers and which system is the primary source.
AI can help summarise; it must not change the facts
AI can draft an explanation or detect a variance, but the calculation, source and indication of uncertainty must remain verifiable. We provide decision support, not an accounting or legal opinion.
How we work
1. Understand the starting point
Together we record the goal, baseline data, constraints and decision-making responsibilities.
2. Set priorities
We identify the first intervention based on impact, urgency, cost and feasibility.
3. Implement
We work in small, verifiable steps, retaining human approval at every important point.
4. Measure
We compare the result with the baseline and document the next decision.
What do we measure and hand over?
The handover includes a specification for each measure, its data-source connections, procedures for refresh and checking, and the report itself. We measure preparation time, the number of missing-data corrections and the lead time needed to support a management decision.

Frequently asked questions
Can we build a management report from Excel?
Yes. Data quality, verifiable calculations and sustainable updates matter more than the perceived prestige of the tool. For many SMEs, a well-designed spreadsheet is a suitable starting point.
Can data from different systems be connected?
Often, yes, but identifiers, periods and terminology need to be reconciled first. We plan integration only after checking data quality and access permissions.
